Take one look at Ira Poskosh and you know he's from New York. He has that edge, that sensibility; he's no nonsense. But
what may not be immediately evident is that he also has a keen sense of style and flair and has received accolades from his
culinary career.
He has been the secret to the success of many a restaurant in his time, supplying happy customers with a plethora of complicated
and delicious dishes. When he was in New York at The Regency Hotel, his restaurant received three stars from "The New
York Times."
In 1992, he took the expertise he had cultivated and moved to South Florida shores, taking a position as Sous Chef at
"Bistro L'Europe," one of the top ten restaurants in South Florida, according to South Florida Magazine.
After two years, he shifted over to Tavern on the Green where he was responsible for not only tackling all the food preparations
and internal production of the restaurant but also catered large affairs, a skill he would later employ in his own business.
He took on a new title of Executive Chef. His tasty temptations served here received the establishment 3 stars by "The
Sun-Sentinel."
Perhaps he is best known for his stint as Executive Chef at Linda B. of Boca, a jewel in the area. He produced the seasonal
menus here with retro flair. He received a lot of attention as seen by his many reviews.
Le Rescatore employed his services after his five long years at Linda B's. Here he served up French desserts, entrees
and other authentic specialties to the delight of the guests.
After this French escapade, Poskosh decided to start his own business, utilizing his ability to produce events and cater
parties. His catering company has handled ocassions large and small. But he misses being a part of a team within a fine dining
establishment. At this time, he is scouring the South Florida area looking for the perfect fit for his fine tuned skills.
